About Project:
In this first education project in Kenya, World Appeal will be providing quality education to almost 150 boys and girls from Tana River County, Yokowo Village in a safe and supportive environment through the construction of an infrastructure with quality education, curriculum, discipline and extracurricular activities.
Our local community eccentric approach will ensure a massive buy in from the community to ensure the project remains sustainable over the long term
Facts on Secondary (Higher education)
✅ Kenya’s literacy rate, at more than four-fifths of the population, is high for sub-Saharan Africa.Â
✅ Nationwide enrolment in primary education stood at 93 per cent, but at secondary level was only 53 per cent.
✅ 86.5% of girls aged 9-13 years live in rural Kenya with 80.8% of them attending primary school but only 14.3% enroll for secondary.
PROPOSAL
✅ The project aims to construct a fit-for-purpose school building for underprivileged children in remote areas with a dire need for a school. This school is designed as a fun and conducive place for students to learn and grow.
✅ The cost of the school includes the construction cost, furniture, equipment and school supplies.
✅ A quarterly report update is provided once the construction commences
