Water For All

Millions drink unclean, unsafe water that harbour waterborne diseases which spread among communities. Women and children are forced to walk each day in dangerous conditions and terrains just to fetch clean water, when they should be at home or at school.

At World Appeal, our water projects are designed to provide access to safe clean those affected for years to come. We are on a mission to provide long-term solutions to water scarcity in a world that is becoming increasingly affected by climate change. With your water donation, we can put a stop to women and children having to walk for miles each day just to access their basic right, clean water.

By providing access to clean water, you are helping these communities by protecting them from waterborne diseases, which is the root problem for the majority of all illnesses in third-world countries.

One in every three people does not have access to clean water to drink around the world.

How Serious is the Water Crisis?

The stats relating to the global water crisis are nothing short of being alarming, with men, women, and children all suffering. Some of the most damning figures are:

  • 2 billion people– one-third of the global population are without easy access to clean water.
  • 200 million hours– time spent by women in Africa walking to collect water every day.
  • 443 million school days– missed by children every year because of poor access to safe water.
  • Every 37 seconds– one person dies as a result of an illness caused by dirty water.
  • 50% of hospital beds– half of the hospital beds in the developing world are filled with patients with water-related illnesses.
  • 2 billion people– the number of people around the world without sanitation.

Needless to say, a whole lot more must be done to confront the seriousness of the global water crisis. As sustainable Charity, World Appeal will use your kind donations to install sustainable eco-friendly solar-powered water systems that will bring hope and prosperity to communities around the world.
